Work in progress...
Having worked on printmaking for a long time perhaps now a move to more one-off images– drawing, painting and collage on canvases. Time too to catch up on all the films/ DVDs I haven't seen such as Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, the animation Waltz with Bashir by Ari Folman, and the Ian Dury biographical film starring Andy Serkis as the iconic singer. All fitted in around the reluctance to get down to new artwork, and the distractions of teaching younger students. Their sometimes wayward behaviour has turned my teaching style into a hard-nosed mixture of Mussolini, David Brent and Alan Sugar.... but it's working.
Website re-design
I've updated and restructured the website pages recently. Hopefully it should be easier to view (side ways rather than downwards) with bigger pictures. A lot of work– you have noticed haven't you?
On and on...
Work on my new dystopian graphic novel about London, Night City, is very slowly underway. To prove it does actually exist here are some pages completed to date....
Castlemaine
I've written a short story 'Castlemaine' that was drafted on my train journeys to work. A dark tale of an alcoholic major and his butler, I have published a small book edition to distribute to friends and discerning readers of my acquaintance.
